About the position

The Electrical Engineer at Innovative Solutions & Support (IS&S) will coordinate engineering designs and requirements across various engineering disciplines. This role involves significant hands-on work in the design, analysis, and troubleshooting of electronic circuits and components, providing hardware design support from the concept phase through production. The engineer will apply their skills and creativity to enhance IS&S's product line.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering designs and requirements with other engineering disciplines.
• Engage deeply in the design and analysis of electronic circuits and components.
• Participate in circuit board bring-up, troubleshooting, and testing of electronic designs.
• Provide hardware design support from the concept phase through production.
• Apply engineering skills and creativity to the IS&S product line.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education.
• 2+ years of electronic design experience in analog and digital circuit design.
• Familiarity with PCAD, Allegro tools, FPGA development, and VHDL is desired.
• Knowledge of IPC design standards is a plus.
• Deep competencies in analysis and circuit board troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with component selection and sourcing is highly desired.
• Strong interpersonal skills including collaboration, critical thinking, and technical competency.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with aviation interfaces and electrical components.
• Understanding of software protocols and tools.
• Knowledge of certification standards mandated by regulatory agencies within aviation.
