About the position

Parsons is seeking an exceptionally talented Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the development and implementation of microgrids, which play a crucial role in enhancing energy resilience and sustainability. The microgrid systems you will work on include essential components such as Photovoltaic (PV) solar arrays, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), fossil fuel generators, microgrid controllers, switchgear, synchronization control, and automated distribution switches that manage the grid connection. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the advancement of these systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. As an Electrical Engineer, you will manage submittals by entering and tracking them in the Resident Management System (RMS), preparing and maintaining a submittal register, and ensuring timely submission and approval of all required documents. You will also be responsible for designing electrical systems, including microgrids, by creating detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and one-line diagrams while ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory requirements. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with the Project Manager to meet project milestones and deadlines, providing regular updates on progress and addressing any issues that arise. In addition to coordinating with engineers from various disciplines such as Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, Environmental, Cybersecurity, and Control Systems Engineering, you will prepare detailed shop drawings for electrical installations, compile equipment data sheets, and generate regular project reports. Your role will also involve developing detailed work plans for electrical installations, creating sequences of operations for electrical systems, and conducting quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with NFPA 70 and other relevant standards. Participation in project meetings and supporting commissioning activities will further enhance your contributions to the team. This position is part of our Federal Solutions team, which delivers essential resources to our US government customers, ensuring the success of missions globally. Our diverse and intelligent workforce drives innovation and excellence in defense, security, intelligence, infrastructure, and environmental solutions.
