About the position

Delta G Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and create construction documents for electrical systems across various building types. This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver sustainable and cost-effective engineering solutions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and create HVAC systems for construction documents for a variety of building types.
• Develop and prepare detailed construction documents, specifications, layouts, and mechanical schematics.
• Conduct load calculations, energy modeling, and life-cycle cost analyses to optimize system efficiency and sustainability.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project integration and compliance with regulatory requirements and Delta G standards.
• Perform site visits, oversee installations, and provide technical support during all phases of the project.
• Identify and troubleshoot design issues and make recommendations for improvements or alternative solutions.
• Work closely with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, building strong relationships and providing clear, timely updates.

Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with proficiency across various building types, such as hospitals, schools, municipal buildings, hotels, and residential complexes.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in engineering software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and electrical design tools.
• Strong knowledge of local and national electrical codes, standards, and energy efficiency regulations.
• Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
