About the position

As an Electrical Engineer at our MEP firm, you will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for various projects, including state-of-the-art NCAA football stadiums and educational institutions. Our firm is recognized for its commitment to quality and efficiency, ensuring that all contract documents are meticulously prepared by highly experienced and licensed engineers. This approach not only reduces construction costs but also streamlines processes and enhances customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for managing projects from inception to completion, which includes conducting field verification work, performing Revit drafting, and overseeing quality assurance and inspections. Your expertise will be vital in the MEP design of K-12 schools, colleges, and universities, where you will ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects while contributing to the educational infrastructure in Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Manage electrical engineering projects from start to finish.
  • Perform field verification work to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Conduct Revit drafting for project designs.
  • Oversee quality assurance and inspections throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations in all designs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam.
  • Certified as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) by the State of Texas.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Texas.
  • Previous experience in design of standard mechanical or electrical systems for buildings.
  • Previous experience in a MEP consulting environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of building codes.
