About the position

GPI is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join their Albany, NY office. This role is integral to a team dedicated to serving clients and communities through innovative engineering solutions. Responsibilities

• Design lighting, power distribution, and communication systems, including fire alarm systems.
• Prepare technical design documents.
• Use AutoCAD and/or Revit/BIM to model construction drawings for building systems from schematic design to construction administration phases.
• Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance with the contract documents.
• Conduct job site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 4+ years' experience designing Electrical Building Systems.
• EIT required, PE preferred.
• Experience with engineering design programs (i.e. Revit, AutoCAD).
• Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members.
