Farnsworth Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Greenwood Village, CO, as well as in our St. Louis, MO, Peoria, and Champaign, IL offices. This position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about engineering and is eager to contribute to a variety of projects in the industrial, oil and gas, advanced manufacturing, and renewable energy sectors. As an Electrical Engineer, you will take on multi-project responsibilities that encompass full electrical design, including power distribution, controls, renewable energy systems, medium voltage systems, substations, lighting, and communications. In this role, you will engage in code research and application, conduct fieldwork to ascertain existing conditions, and develop preliminary schematics through to final designs. You will be responsible for performing calculations, specifying equipment, sizing, and layout, as well as coordinating with other production staff and engineering disciplines. Your duties will also include preparing accurate electrical system construction drawings and specifications, conducting submittal reviews, and managing construction administration. Additionally, you will perform power systems studies and interface with clients, contractors, and other disciplines while maintaining project design budgets and schedules. A key aspect of this role is mentoring designers and drafters, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their careers.
