About the position

The Electrical Engineer position at Jobot involves working on building design and construction projects across the United States. The role requires a strong focus on accuracy in technical work and effective communication with clients and the design team. The engineer will be responsible for various tasks including design calculations, reviewing shop drawings, and selecting equipment for electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform design calculations and analysis for electrical systems.
• Review shop drawings and electrical specifications.
• Select equipment for electrical power, lighting, fire alarm systems, and communication systems.
• Communicate directly with clients and the design team to establish project parameters and goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE or BSAE with electrical emphasis).
• Minimum of 6 years of electrical engineering experience in a consulting or AE firm.
• Professional registration (P.E.) required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong knowledge of relevant systems and codes.
• Strong team and project management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• RCDD registration (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to self-direct and prioritize to meet project deadlines.
• Proficient in REVIT, MEP, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
