About the position

The Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in the development and release of new products within a cross-functional team. This position involves managing various tasks in a dynamic environment, solving complex engineering problems, and collaborating with multiple disciplines to ensure product quality and adherence to design requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design new computer room air conditioning (CRAC) products
• Collaborate across mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, process engineering, and production teams
• Conduct design reviews and meet cost metrics
• Perform engineering calculations to verify design requirements
• Develop solutions to complex problems with little or no precedence
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and implement product changes
• Create and revise unit wiring schematics and network connection drawings
• Create and review electric panel layouts according to relevant codes and standards
• Create and revise wire harnesses
• Work with the software team to develop and verify CRAC system controls
• Support lab facilities with prototypes and testing

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related degree
• 3+ years of experience in new product development
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated history of delivering quality products to market
• Excellent project management and communication skills
• Proficient in 3D CAD software, preferably CREO 4.0 or greater

Nice-to-haves

• Electro-mechanical experience (electric panel layout/design, contactor selection, fuse sizing, etc.)
• Knowledge of NEC (NFPA79), IEEE 519, UL 508A SB, UL60335-2-40, or equivalent standards
• Experience with communications and interconnects standards and protocols including RS485, CAN, and Ethernet
