Our client in Providence, RI is seeking an Electrical Engineer to work on a variety of new construction and modernization projects, specifically focusing on designing Power and Control Systems for Pharmaceutical and Industrial Applications. The role involves a comprehensive approach to process and facility design, ensuring that all systems meet the necessary standards and requirements for safety and efficiency. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for preparing detailed reports that outline the design processes, methodologies, and outcomes of the projects undertaken. This position requires a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, as well as the ability to apply these principles in real-world scenarios, particularly within the pharmaceutical and industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and have some formal experience in the field. Candidates who are on the path to achieving their Professional Engineer (PE) License, preferably with NCEES EIT certification, will be given preference. The role demands familiarity with the National Electrical Code and NFPA Standards, as well as a solid understanding of electrical circuit operations, both analog and digital design, and power supply circuit design. Proficiency in using schematic tools and the ability to interpret circuit operations from schematics are essential skills for this position. Additionally, the Electrical Engineer will be expected to have a basic understanding of testing procedures and be proficient in software tools such as AutoCAD and/or Revit, along with MS Office applications. Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial, as the role involves collaboration with various stakeholders and the preparation of technical documentation. Problem-solving skills are also vital, as the engineer will need to address challenges that arise during the design and implementation phases. A willingness and ability to be onsite in Rhode Island is required, and any experience in Life Science, Biotech, or Pharmaceutical fields will be considered a plus.
