About the position

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and ownership of analog and digital electronic circuits, particularly focusing on sensor signal conditioning applications. This role requires a self-motivated individual with experience in the full cycle of circuit design, from concept to production, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Lead new and sustaining electrical design efforts, including circuit design, schematic capture, simulation, and PCB layout for aerospace sensor transducers.
  • Create and validate analytical models during the concept phase, ensuring the design matches performance expectations.
  • Incorporate commercial integrated circuits, OpAmps, ASICs, and other components to meet system requirements such as accuracy, temperature compensation, and EMI protection.
  • Design and lay out printed circuit boards for testing and production using OrCAD tools, ensuring rigorous standards for aerospace applications.
  • Develop front-end electronics compliant with aerospace EMI standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-810).
  • Own and manage the electrical system BOM, focusing on cost and obsolescence control.
  • Perform hands-on testing and debugging of circuits with minimal supervision, ensuring high-quality product delivery.
  • Collaborate with production, supply chain, and other teams to ensure on-time delivery and successful transition from development to manufacturing.
  • Contribute to expanding our Intellectual Property portfolio by developing innovative solutions for aerospace challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Graduate-level degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years in electrical engineering with a strong focus on circuit design.
  • Experience with aerospace sensor components and related systems, such as temperature sensors, speed sensors, pressure sensors, and flow sensors.
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical and software design engineering is preferred.
  • Familiarity with DO-254 and aircraft cable harnesses or sensors is a plus.
  • Proven track record of designing complex analog circuits for sensor signal conditioning.
  • Experience with numerical computation tools such as MATLAB or MATHCAD.
  • Strong simulation experience in both analog and digital circuits.
  • Ability to interpret and apply general mechanical, electrical, and software systems to aviation sensor products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to customers and internal teams.
  • Highly organized, self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong problem-solving and prioritization abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Hands-on experience in mechanical and software design engineering is preferred.
  • Familiarity with DO-254 and aircraft cable harnesses or sensors is a plus.
