About the position

Applied Intuition is seeking a senior electrical engineer with a strong background in developing integrated hardware compute products. This role presents a unique opportunity to tackle challenging engineering problems while contributing to the development of Applied Intuition's latest product. As a senior electrical engineer, you will be responsible for guiding a team in laying out the physical architecture of the product, ensuring that the compute and underlying network align with system requirements and constraints such as cost, bandwidth, and weight. You will also engage in rapid prototyping using software tools to confirm layout functionality and build robust hardware rigs for system development. This position is pivotal in driving the success of our innovative solutions that are relied upon by 18 of the top 20 global automakers.

Responsibilities

• Guide the team in laying out the physical architecture of the product based on system requirements and constraints.
• Rapidly prototype in software tools to confirm layout functionality.
• Build out hardware rigs that are robust for system development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in system architecture, signal design, and analysis.
• Experience in leading a project from design decisions through execution.
• Hands-on experience in building integrated hardware setups.
• A degree in a relevant field.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience in building robotic hardware systems.
• Ability to create hardware in loop bench setups to develop and test different vehicle concepts.
• Previous experience in vendor evaluation and selection for the right units.
• Experience in building real-time hardware systems with safety constraints.
