About the position

The Electrical Engineer position at Actalent involves designing motor control and test system solutions, focusing on creating electrical schematics and drawing packages for industrial applications. This role supports the development of systems optimized for manufacturing and ensures compliance with customer specifications, while also allowing for a hybrid work environment with remote work options.

Responsibilities

• Design motor control and test system solutions, including creation of Power Distribution Diagrams, Network Distribution Diagrams, and Electrical schematics.
• Develop electrical and mechanical drawing packages for industrial motor control and battery testing/simulation systems optimized for size and ease of manufacturing.
• Verify conformance of components and systems to customer specifications.
• Complete load, voltage, amperage, and heat calculations to ensure proper design.
• Create system bill of materials.
• Work with Purchasing and Vendors to evaluate alternate components.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in designing motor control systems and electrical schematics.
• Proficiency in electrical and mechanical drawing software.
• Strong analytical skills for load and heat calculations.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with battery testing and simulation systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations in electrical engineering.
