About the position

Westinghouse Electric is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a 12+ month assignment supporting our nuclear client in Mineral, VA. This position is ideal for individuals who have a foundational understanding of electrical engineering principles and are looking to apply their skills in a dynamic team environment. The role will involve working on various projects, particularly in the nuclear sector, although experience in other areas of electrical engineering is also valuable. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in capital projects and contribute to large motor projects, as well as potentially participate in large-scale nuclear civil projects and designs. The Electrical Engineer will be part of a collaborative team that emphasizes strong communication skills, both verbal and written. The ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams, is essential. Candidates should be prepared to adapt to the demands of the projects and work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering and 1 to 2 years of relevant experience. While experience in the commercial nuclear industry is preferred, it is not mandatory. Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with large motor projects.
  • Prior experience with large scale nuclear civil projects and designs.
