About the position

The Electrical Engineer position at Belcan involves supporting electrical systems, data acquisition, hydraulics, and testing initiatives in the R&D Test Lab. The role requires collaboration with experienced engineers to enhance lab capabilities, conduct critical development and certification testing, and contribute to innovative aerospace projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the R&D Lab team by taking direction from senior engineers on active projects.
• Design pressure, flow, and spray test stands and upgrades, focusing on improved automation using control valves and pressure & flow sensors.
• Train coworkers on electronics applications to enhance team capabilities and knowledge.
• Develop and improve test stand control hardware and safety circuitry to enhance operational efficiency.
• Assist in upgrading hydraulic test stands, focusing on control valves, pumps, and automation systems.
• Assist calibration efforts for lab and production test stands to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Participate actively in a High-Performance Team environment, contributing to various functions as needed.
• Present project plans, data, and results to the team, generating detailed reports to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Support fellow engineers with projects and tasks, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to a zero-incident culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Strong experience in electrical systems design, soldering/wiring, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent skills for presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences, along with precise scientific documentation abilities.
• Interpersonal Skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, fostering collaboration and innovation.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to other facilities, local universities, and suppliers.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
