About the position

Kforce has a client in Warrendale, PA that is seeking an Electrical Engineer for an exciting new program in wastewater system assessment. We are looking for a talented Electrical Engineer who wants to make a significant impact in supporting, developing, and deploying bleeding-edge assessment technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting complex industrial electrical systems and robots. This role requires a dynamic individual with a passion for delivering adaptive and creative solutions to industry-specific challenges by staying up to date with best practices and emerging electrical and electronic design trends.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, maintaining, implementing, and improving electrical components, equipment products, or systems for specific applications
  • Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design
  • Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical system specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps
  • Help to establish and implement standards and specifications
  • Maintaining electrical equipment
  • Working with a variety of technicians on a day-to-day basis
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Experience in design, repair, and analysis of electronic systems
  • Experience in a fast-paced, innovative environment where needs and requirements can change rapidly
  • Knowledge of CAD or related software
  • PCB design
  • Soldering
  • Exposure to electrical engineering design principles and methodologies
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal), ability to deliver messages concisely and effectively
  • Strong propensity to listen and ask the right questions of customers and the organization
  • Thrive in an environment requiring strong problem-solving skills, independent self-direction, and an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication
  • Able to advocate for system improvements to company leadership and work closely with the Engineering teams to address issues before they reach our valued customers
  • Ability to build and maintain interpersonal relationships and influence at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time
  • Knowledge of electrical power applications is a plus
