About the position

The Electrical Engineer position at Woodbridge Inoac Technical Products Chattanooga LLC is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying equipment and plant facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems, with a focus on resolving complex issues that go beyond the capabilities of general maintenance technicians. The engineer will also assist with preventative maintenance and ensure compliance with safety policies and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and rectify machine, facility, and process difficulties both electrical and mechanical.
  • Assist with machine Preventative Maintenance Program duties as necessary.
  • Follow all safety policies and working practices.
  • Maintain documentation of technical reference material.
  • Understand the requirements of Lock-Out / Tag-Out of machinery.
  • Participate in the Company HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) initiatives.
  • Work with the ITS system (Computer maintenance management System).
  • Collaborate effectively with team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with 3 years of experience, or an associate's degree with 6 years of field experience, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to the above.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and system blueprints.
  • Ability to revise/create electrical drawings.
  • AutoCAD experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and regulations.
  • Strong mathematical skills including probability, statistics, and geometry.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, 5S, and Kaizen.
  • Certificates such as Master Electrician License or City Electricians license.
