About the position

The Electrical Engineer position at Jobot involves designing, developing, and testing electrical components and systems for large-scale infrastructure projects. The role requires collaboration with a team of engineers to innovate and improve products and services, ensuring compliance with building codes and standards. Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and simulate electrical systems using software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP.
  • Develop and test electrical components and systems, including switchgear, low voltage, power conditioning, and energization.
  • Conduct short circuit analysis and troubleshoot electrical systems to identify and resolve issues.
  • Apply knowledge of the fundamentals of engineering (FE) to design and implement effective solutions.
  • Ensure all electrical designs and installations comply with the relevant building codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement project plans and timelines.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure systems are working optimally.
  • Draft and update electrical design documentation and reports.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers and other team members.
  • Keep abreast of advancements and changes in technology and develop an understanding of how they can be applied to our operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in electrical systems design and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP.
  • Extensive knowledge of switchgear, low voltage, power conditioning, and energization.
  • Strong understanding of power systems and control systems.
  • Familiarity with building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems.
  • Solid understanding of the fundamentals of engineering (FE).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
