About the position

The Electrical Engineer position at JBT Corporation involves designing and debugging automation control panels and systems, ensuring compliance with electrical codes, and contributing to the development of automated vehicle systems. Responsibilities

  • Process ECNs by creating control system schematics, drawings, and documentation.
  • Update red marked drawings and tech notes.
  • Maintain network folder upkeep.
  • Design and debug automation control panels.
  • Design harness and power panels.
  • Work on power distribution ranging from low 12VDC to 480VAC.
  • Apply electrical codes pertaining to control panel design and electrical installations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in reading/designing automation control panels and harnesses in AutoCAD.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience coding/debugging various types of automation equipment and systems, including PLCs, HMIs, barcode readers, RFID, photoelectric sensors, and ultrasonic sensors.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes pertaining to control panel design and electrical installations.
  • Understanding of power requirements ranging from low 12VDC to high 480VAC.
  • Ability to prepare specifications for the purchase of material and equipment.
  • Experience in designing electrical testing methods and testing finished products and system capabilities.
  • Ability to design RF network infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with battery and charger design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
