About the position

The Electrical Engineer position at Actalent involves participating in new product development projects, focusing on both application and production engineering of existing products. The role encompasses various responsibilities including design reviews, component selection, and the creation of electrical schematics. The engineer will also be involved in testing and maintaining a database of components and materials, as well as designing wiring and electronic component layouts within products.

Responsibilities

• Participate in new product development projects
• Application and production engineering of existing products
• Conduct design reviews
• Select components for electrical systems
• Design electrical systems, circuits, and wiring
• Perform testing of electrical systems
• Create system level and detail level electrical schematics
• Use and maintain component and material databases
• Design wiring and electronic component layouts within products

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a GPA of 3.2 or higher
• Experience reading schematics
• Experience with LabView
• Familiarity with the National Electric Code (NFPA 70)

Nice-to-haves

• Professional Engineer (PE) certification
• Experience in solid state electrical power conversion
• Knowledge of digital and analog circuit design
• Experience with programmable logic devices and microcontrollers
• Familiarity with computer networks and network components
