About the position

The Electrical Engineer at Peoples Gas will be responsible for developing and managing Capital and O&M project plans for the installation and maintenance of power distribution and electronic devices within the Manlove Storage Field. This role involves working with various electrical systems, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop Capital and O&M project plans for power distribution and electronic devices.
• Manage cross-functional projects with a medium to high degree of risk.
• Conduct work requiring independent evaluation and adaptation of standard techniques.
• Perform regulatory required inspections and verification tests.
• Maintain AutoCAD electrical and pneumatic prints and OEM technical documentation.
• Assist Technicians and Control System Admins in troubleshooting operational issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 0-2 years of relevant engineering experience (internship/co-op experience included)
• Valid Driver's License

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience with AutoCAD and SAP
• 2+ years' utility or industrial facility engineering experience with power distribution and/or controls
• 2+ years' experience with DCS/SCADA/control systems
• 2 years' experience in a regulated industry
