About the position

The Electrical Engineer at Freudenberg Performance Materials will lead the electrical group in troubleshooting and root cause analysis to evaluate electrical conditions, ensuring the resolution and prevention of concerns and failures. This role supports a lean manufacturing culture and requires participation in 24/7 operations, emphasizing safety and compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead electrical group in troubleshooting and RCA for evaluating electrical conditions to resolve and preventively eliminate concerns and failures
  • Provide justification and support project managers to execute upgrades to equipment
  • Support a lean manufacturing culture with the proper use of PDCA cycles in engineering changes, and communicate well with stakeholders on status
  • Participate in rotating on-call support for 24/7 operations
  • Ensure company safety requirements are correctly identified and addressed in risk assessment, performance levels, and PPE selection for electrical hazards
  • Prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD and/or Inventor software

Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering from a 4-year ABET accredited school
  • Experience in a production operation with emphasis on 'hands-on' engineering and reliability work is preferred
  • Ability to manage and participate in projects of various size and scope including ability to prioritize and ensure focus on critical work
  • Ability to coordinate with cross functional teams, and adapt to rapid change
  • Working knowledge of industrial automation and coordinated machinery
  • Must be knowledgeable in creating and updating AutoCAD electrical diagrams
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
