About the position

The Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting and driving the planning, execution, handoff, and evaluation phases for assigned modernization capital projects within the Engineering & Modernization group. This position involves engaging in multiple capital projects simultaneously across the manufacturing footprint, ensuring the development of reliable and quality electrical systems while adhering to budget constraints.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety in the workplace and on all project job sites
• Prepare, receive, and evaluate bid packages for contractor work
• Coordinate with plant management, production scheduling, and support groups to complete projects on schedule
• Develop switching orders, plans and procedures for safe shutdowns and rebuilds
• Develop safety policies, maintenance procedures, and operating standards for power distribution equipment
• Analyze technical drawings, interpret specifications and determine the electrical requirements of a given project
• Diagnose problems and troubleshoot equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• 3 or more years of engineering experience required
• Knowledge and/or experience in industrial power distribution systems desired
• 2D AutoCAD Electrical experience required
• Power systems analysis and design software experience preferred

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge and experience in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and electrical control systems
• Experience and proficiency with ladder logic/PLC programming, Siemens and Rockwell preferred
• Relay protection design
• Electrical distribution design and equipment (high voltage, medium voltage, low voltage)
• Cost estimating
• Startup and commissioning
