About the position

The Electrical Engineer position at Nordson involves performing electrical engineering functions as part of a cross-functional team. The role focuses on project planning, product development, and solving technical problems while coordinating with design and lab personnel. The engineer will also interface with marketing and operations to support project goals, ensuring high-quality solutions that meet product requirements.

Responsibilities

• Participates in product definition and design specification processes.
• Designs and implements high-quality solutions to meet or exceed product requirements, either independently or as part of a team.
• Experience in PCA design, including digital, microcontroller, or analog circuits.
• Works with software and test engineers to define interfaces and make hardware/software trade-offs.
• Performs thorough testing and evaluation of solutions to ensure maximum quality levels and complete functionality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 0 to 2+ years of experience in an electrical engineering role.
• Solid understanding of electrical and embedded system design principles.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability and desire to learn.
