About the position

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their team in New York City. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth within a full-service MEP consulting firm, providing a flexible hybrid work schedule of 2 to 3 days in the office. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing low voltage systems, including IT network infrastructure, video surveillance, access control, and audio-visual systems, while also managing project scopes, budgets, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Low Voltage drawings including IT network infrastructure and cabling designs.
• Design of video surveillance and access control layout and cabling.
• Create audio visual (AV) designs.
• Layout and design of MDF/IDF rooms, including rack layouts and pathways.
• Coordinate power requirements for system layouts.
• Work independently on system layouts, preparing riser diagrams, and selecting equipment.
• Provide intelligent building systems for various project types with differing complexities.
• Coordinate with larger teams to manage project scopes, budgets, and deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer.
• Experience with AutoCAD MEP and Revit.
• Experience working on healthcare and commercial projects, including tenant fit-outs.
