About the position

The Electrical Engineer will support the design and development of the Columbia Class Submarine's integrated power system, working closely with the shipbuilder and various stakeholders to ensure the successful construction, testing, and evaluation of the submarine's power system. This role is critical to supporting the Navy's mission for maritime dominance.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of the Integrated Power System, including generation and distribution of electrical power.
• Work closely with Naval Reactors, PMS 397, the shipbuilder, and component vendors to maintain high standards.
• Provide support to the compatibility test facility in Philadelphia, PA, for component testing.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering
• Active SECRET CLEARANCE
• Experience in Electrical Design
• Experience in Electrical Maintenance
• Knowledge of AC/DC Power Distribution and Conversion
• Ability to resolve issues in complex electrical systems
