About the position

Actalent is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Patterson, New York. This exciting opportunity allows you to work closely with customers, attend meetings, and oversee products throughout the manufacturing process. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing passive RF/microwave components, including high power, wideband directional couplers and combiners. You will utilize Electromagnetic Simulation Software for the design and verification of complex structures and employ CAD software tools to design intricate RF circuit layouts. Additionally, you will manage projects from the initial concept and prototyping phases through to production, leading and contributing to the production and fabrication of RF circuit designs. This role is situated in a manufacturing setting at a mid-size company, where you will join an 8-member Engineering Team. The work environment is business casual, and standard working hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. This position offers a competitive salary, with BSEE graduates earning between $65,000 - $70,000 and MSEE graduates earning between $75,000 - $85,000. Responsibilities

  • Design passive RF/microwave components, including high power, wideband directional couplers and combiners.
  • Utilize Electromagnetic Simulation Software for the design and verification of complex structures.
  • Employ CAD software tools to design intricate RF circuit layouts.
  • Manage projects from initial concept and prototyping phases through to production.
  • Lead and contribute to the production and fabrication of RF circuit designs.

Requirements

  • BSEE with a 3.5+ GPA or MSEE with a 3.0+ GPA (transcripts required).
  • Coursework in RF & Microwave Components.
  • Strong knowledge of Theory and Microwave Engineering.
  • Experience with PCB Design and Production.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency with Microwave Office or other Electromagnetic Simulators.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Inventor.
