About the position

The Electrical Engineer position involves working for a growing manufacturing company, focusing on the design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and installation of heavy manufacturing machinery. The role requires collaboration with engineering management and customers, along with travel to customer locations for equipment installation and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful installation, start up, and commissioning of converting equipment, including traveling to the customer location as required.
• Conduct product testing and troubleshooting to certify that the equipment meets requirements.
• Assist in designing equipment's electrical components and systems.
• Perform drafting of electrical component schematic designs, panel layouts, and development of BOMs.
• Support the coordination of assembly operations during equipment construction.
• Build and implement electric component control programs to ensure proper functioning of PLC, HMI, motion, and message display.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• Zero to three years of engineering design experience with converting equipment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, utilization of hand tools, basic electronic measuring devices, and a laptop computer.
• Experienced in AutoCAD, PLC, and motion control software.
