About the position

The Electrical Engineer position is a mid-level contract role focused on electrical engineering design, testing, and characterization activities for product development in the medical device sector. The role involves collaboration with the electrical design team to achieve project deliverables while gaining hands-on experience in various engineering tasks.

Responsibilities

• Schematic and layout design using Altium design software.
• Conduct electrical testing including Wireless, RF, Power Management, Analog, motor, and batteries.
• Troubleshoot prototypes and perform circuit analysis and simulations.
• Design, develop, and set up test fixtures, and record results.
• Automate existing test methods and create test protocols.
• Prepare reports for engineering and maintain lab notebook studies.
• Develop embedded firmware for board bring-up and design development.

Requirements

• Mid-level experience in electrical engineering.
• Proficiency in Altium design software for schematic and layout design.
• Experience in electrical testing and troubleshooting of prototypes.
• Knowledge of circuit analysis and simulations.
• Ability to design and develop test fixtures.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with embedded firmware development.
• Familiarity with automation of test methods.
