About the position

The Electrical Engineer will focus on cost reduction projects for legacy products, collaborating with suppliers and the internal design team to implement design changes. The role involves troubleshooting product and integration issues, as well as designing and developing electrical systems to enhance product performance and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Work on cost reduction projects for legacy products.
• Collaborate with suppliers and the internal design team to implement design changes.
• Assist with troubleshooting product and integration issues.
• Design, develop, and integrate electrical systems into products using catalogue components.
• Research and evaluate new technology in electric motors and drives for product improvements.
• Create wiring schematics, electrical harnesses, and bills of material.
• Design, size, and integrate starting device systems in multiple motor applications.
• Size and integrate variable speed drives based on application requirements.
• Size and integrate overload and short circuit current protection.

Requirements

• Experience in design and development of electrical systems.
• Knowledge of catalogue components.
• Ability to research and evaluate new technology.
• Experience in creating wiring schematics and electrical harnesses.
• Experience in integration of starting device systems.
• Ability to size and integrate variable speed drives.
• Knowledge of overload and short circuit current protection.
