About the position

The Electrical Engineer will support the design and development of the Columbia Class Submarine's integrated power system, working closely with the shipbuilder and various stakeholders to ensure the highest standards are maintained. This role is critical to the Navy's mission of ensuring dominance over the seas, involving both design and testing phases of the submarine's power system.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of the Integrated Power System, including generation and distribution of electrical power.
• Work closely with Naval Reactors, PMS 397, the shipbuilder, and component vendors to maintain high standards.
• Provide support to the compatibility test facility in Philadelphia, PA, for component testing.

Requirements

• Experience in electrical design and maintenance.
• Knowledge of AC/DC power distribution and conversion.
• Ability to resolve issues in complex electrical systems.
