About the position

The Electrical Engineer role focuses on the design and development of electrical power and distribution systems, including rail signals, intelligent transportation systems, vehicle charging stations, and roadway lighting. This position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for both remote and in-office work, and is integral to supporting critical infrastructure projects. The role emphasizes professional development and collaboration with other engineers on large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead or assist with the development of plans for electrical power and distribution systems.
• Design rail signals and intelligent transportation system (ITS) improvements.
• Develop plans for vehicle charging stations and pump stations.
• Work on network communications and traffic signal design.
• Conduct field data collection and roadway lighting design.
• Prepare reports related to project specifications and estimates.

Requirements

• Four or more years of professional project experience in electrical engineering.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel for site visits.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of and experience using REVIT or AutoCAD design software.

Nice-to-haves

• Engineer in Training (EIT/FE) certification.
• Experience with Agi32 Lighting Software.
• Experience applying National Electrical Code to various projects.
• Experience designing electrical systems for infrastructure projects.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.
