About the position

Longhorn Electrical Services, Inc. is actively seeking highly qualified and motivated electrical engineers/project managers to join our team in El Paso, TX. This full-time, long-term position is designed for individuals who are committed to upholding the high standards of safety, professionalism, quality, and integrity that the electrical industry expects from Longhorn Electrical Services. Engineers will be expected to work in the office, not remotely, and will play a crucial role in managing electrical projects from inception to completion. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing specific goals for project staff members and conducting periodic performance evaluations to ensure that project objectives are met. You will prepare project estimates, coordinate and manage relationships with Project Owners, Architects, and Engineers, and provide technical advice as needed. Additionally, you will review plans and product submittals, organize projects, and develop standards and guidelines to streamline operations. Your participation in the monthly billing process and monitoring of project budgets and schedules will be essential to the success of our projects. Periodic site visits will also be required to ensure that projects are progressing as planned, and you will be involved in hands-on design review and modifications as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Management of electrical projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of electrical engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and proven ability to complete projects on time.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Strong team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to research and apply new innovations and technology.
  • Proficient computer skills (e.g., Blue Beam, Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD or Revit, ETAP, SKM, McCormick estimating software).
  • Must be able to qualify for security access.
  • Must have completed or be willing to attend OSHA 30 hour Safety Training Course.
