About the position

As a Data Center Electrical Design Engineer at Actalent, you will focus on designing and redesigning data centers for clients across the United States. This role requires expertise in handling large-scale data center projects, specifically those exceeding 30 megawatts. You will be part of a mission-critical team, contributing to strategic decisions and ensuring adherence to industry standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Design core and shell layouts for data centers
• Create designs for data halls
• Redesign existing data centers
• Conduct BIM mapping
• Prepare or modify reports, plans, and designs for projects
• Evaluate products for their application in data center design
• Provide technical guidance to electrical designers
• Utilize industry software such as Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office Products

Requirements

• Experience in designing data centers of 30 megawatts or more
• Proficiency in core and shell layout design
• Knowledge of data hall design
• Experience with BIM mapping
• Ability to prepare and modify technical reports and designs
• Strong evaluation skills for product applications
• Technical expertise to guide electrical designers
• Familiarity with industry software including Revit and Bluebeam Revu
