About the position

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Senior Engineer to join our team at the Cranberry Township, PA facility. This position is part of a dynamic team focused on the leadership and standardization of components used in nuclear instrumentation and control systems. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting the application of components utilized in safety-related instrumentation and control (I&C) systems. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work independently while adhering to project schedules and budgetary constraints. As a design engineer, you will be responsible for developing standard modules and assemblies that serve as foundational elements for the engineering design of safety I&C systems. This includes compiling technical documents and specifications necessary for procurement, testing, and manufacturing processes. You will also manage the Bill of Materials and ensure revision control of circuit card assemblies, supporting suppliers in resolving technical issues as they arise. Your ability to execute assignments independently while ensuring the accuracy and completeness of your tasks will be essential to your success in this role. We are looking for candidates who possess a BS degree in Electronic Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of six years of experience in electronic design. Strong troubleshooting skills in hardware instrumentation, as well as excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, are required. Experience in the design or manufacture of I&C systems, knowledge of PLC control systems, and familiarity with PCB fabrication processes are highly desirable. Additionally, experience in regulated fields such as Medical, Aerospace, or Nuclear is preferred. Candidates should also have experience in obsolescence management and the ability to engage with a diverse set of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

Requirements
