Snap Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Snap Lab team in Los Angeles, California. This role is pivotal in the development of our hardware products, particularly in pushing the boundaries of what a camera can be by overlaying computing on the real world. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of electrical design, from schematic design and component selection to final deliverables. This includes designing complex systems on chips (SOCs), power management integrated circuits (PMICs), wireless integrated circuits (ICs), and sensors used in low-power consumer electronics. The engineer will lead and contribute to technical design reviews, supervise PCB layout, and debug hardware issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Testing and validating all board-level and system-level aspects of electrical designs will also be a key responsibility. In addition to technical skills, the role requires strong interpersonal abilities to collaborate closely with mechanical, software, RF, thermal, and industrial design teams. The engineer will also be tasked with authoring clear and comprehensive electrical test documentation and developing electronic prototypes for new product concepts. The position may require international travel of up to 20% to support development builds at external contract manufacturers. This role is essential for ensuring that Snap's innovative products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
