As an Electrical Project Engineer for our Energy & Utilities market group, you will be responsible for engineering design processes on assigned projects within a particular discipline. The Electrical Project Engineer develops innovative and unique engineering solutions to align with project, client, and project partner's needs, and leads the discipline team in implementing these solutions. This role requires a strong focus on collaboration, as you will work closely with clients and project partners to ensure that all engineering design processes are executed effectively and efficiently. In this position, you will lead and be responsible for the overall engineering design process within a specific discipline for various projects. You will oversee the production and quality of project deliverables, ensuring that they meet the established standards and client expectations. Actively sharing and presenting lessons learned from past projects will be a key part of your role, as will suggesting continuous improvement initiatives within the discipline to enhance overall project outcomes. You will also be tasked with identifying and participating in the resolution of interpersonal or project-related internal issues that may arise. Understanding the business and interpersonal dynamics of working with co-workers, clients, and project partners is crucial. You will need to effectively adapt to changing needs and priorities, raising any day-to-day and long-term staffing, budget, and quality issues as they come up. Delegating and balancing work for Engineers and Designers will be essential to meet client demands and project deadlines. You will provide the appropriate level of oversight and review work to ensure that established engineering principles are consistently applied. Engaging in employee mentoring through project work will also be a significant aspect of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will utilize effective written communication skills to prepare meeting notes, create and edit design specifications, respond to Requests for Information (RFIs), and author studies and reports. Field verification and surveys will require you to travel to job sites, ensuring that all engineering practices, processes, and tools are advanced and aligned with industry standards. Other similar and/or related duties may be assigned as necessary.
