About the position
This position involves designing motor control and test system solutions, including the creation of Power Distribution Diagrams, Network Distribution Diagrams, and Electrical schematics. The role requires developing electrical and mechanical drawing packages for industrial motor control and battery testing/simulation systems optimized for size and ease of manufacturing. Additionally, the engineer will verify the conformance of components and systems to customer specifications, complete load, voltage, amperage, and heat calculations to ensure proper design, create system bill of materials, and work with Purchasing and Vendors to evaluate alternate components.
Responsibilities
- Design motor control and test system solutions, including creation of Power Distribution Diagrams, Network Distribution Diagrams, and Electrical schematics.
- Develop electrical and mechanical drawing packages for industrial motor control and battery testing/simulation systems optimized for size and ease of manufacturing.
- Verify conformance of components and systems to customer specifications.
- Complete load, voltage, amperage, and heat calculations to ensure proper design.
- Create system bill of materials.
- Work with Purchasing and Vendors to evaluate alternate components.
Requirements
- BSEE or Engineering Degree in Electrical Field
- 3+ years specifying components and systems used in electrical designs for applications involving power electronics and/or voltages of up to 460 or higher
- Experience with design of motor control and test systems.
