GovCIO is currently seeking an Electronics Engineer to join our team. This position is an onsite role that involves evaluating electrical systems, products, components, and applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and conducting research programs while applying their knowledge of electricity and materials. The role requires designing electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for various purposes, including commercial, industrial, and domestic applications. Additionally, the engineer may analyze systems and processes, focusing on heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamic principles to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements. The Electronics Engineer will confirm the capabilities of systems and components by designing testing methods and evaluating their properties. Quality assurance is a critical aspect of this role, as the engineer will design electrical testing methods and test finished products and system capabilities to ensure they meet required standards. Proficiency in computer-assisted engineering software is essential, as the engineer will prepare and study technical drawings and perform detailed calculations necessary to complete projects. The role may also involve preparing product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information and trends. Formal electronics training is required, which includes skills in installation tasks, soldering, cable dressing, cable tray installation, conduit work, and making or repairing connectors.
