This position is for an Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for the design and development of electrical equipment and systems for large Civil Works construction projects. These projects include multipurpose dams, river navigation structures, fish hatcheries, and fish bypass facilities. The Electrical Engineer will serve as the Section's Project Engineer for one or more major projects, ensuring that they are constantly informed about the status and progress of all electrical work being performed in the Section for the assigned projects. The role involves developing and reviewing design memorandums, contract plans, and specifications for assigned projects, as well as for the materials and equipment that are part of the design. The engineer will also be responsible for writing and reviewing contract specifications for the electrical features of the design and for the materials and equipment involved. Coordination with other disciplines such as mechanical, structural, and architectural is essential to ensure that all design features are integrated effectively. Additionally, the Electrical Engineer will serve as the technical lead on one or more large multi-discipline project teams. They will support the development of the project management plan (PMP) by providing scope, schedule, and budget information to the Project Manager (PM). This position requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to apply them in a practical setting, as well as excellent communication and coordination skills to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
