About the position

BBandE is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide design support services for Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects at NAVFAC Pacific. The role involves performing electrical engineering design, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring compliance with technical requirements and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform facilities electrical engineering design including calculations for electrical services, transformers, and power distribution systems.
• Conduct lighting calculations, layouts, and specify light fixtures.
• Develop drawings using AutoCAD and edit product specifications.
• Coordinate with team members to execute project scope, schedules, and budgets.
• Facilitate project progress by providing technical reviews and recommendations.
• Research codes, policies, and regulations to provide technical recommendations.
• Coordinate with government clients, NAVFAC team members, and regulatory agencies.
• Facilitate meetings and communicate findings to project personnel, providing written minutes.
• Review technical reports, designs, and project deliverables for compliance with requirements.
• Provide technical support for commissioning plans, design submittals, and field inspections.

Requirements

• US Citizen
• Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
• Minimum of 6 years of Design Management and/or Design experience
• Graduate of an accredited Engineering college curriculum (4-year degree)
• Demonstrated experience in electrical engineering design and calculations
• Well versed with the National Electric Code
• Sound understanding of multi-disciplined engineering project design principles
• Experience in preparing correspondence and written reports
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, with the ability to adapt to new software.

Nice-to-haves

• P.E. (Professional Engineer) license desired, but not required
