About the position

The Electrical Engineer position at Brooks Automation involves developing new generation control solutions for semiconductor manufacturing. The role emphasizes collaboration within a team of engineers to address complex challenges and integrate electrical, mechanical, and software engineering disciplines. The successful candidate will contribute to the design and development of PCBs, ensure adherence to engineering standards, and engage in technical presentations and cross-functional problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new PCBs for system and robot controllers.
  • Create Engineering Design Specifications.
  • Conduct technical presentations and cross-functional issue resolution.
  • Ensure proper documentation and consistent use of processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers on complete product solutions.
  • Engage in hands-on prototyping or testing in labs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with 4 or more years of experience, or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with 2 or more years of experience.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Competency in Altium preferred.
  • Strong technical communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with standard lab equipment and tools.
  • Prototyping and debugging circuits in a lab.
  • Familiarity with standard Windows applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Control theory and PID feedback control tuning.
  • Experience with Verilog and FPGAs.
