Your role will involve producing a complete substation project utilizing multiple methods and technologies. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for applying your knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and practices to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system. You will engage in electrical engineering design and standards, which includes the production of schematic, wiring, and rack layout drawings. Your proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, will be essential in documenting and presenting your work effectively. In addition to your technical skills, you will have the opportunity to design or scope SCADA RTUs, sequence of event recorders, digital fault recorders (DFRs), phase angle measure units (PMUs), revenue metering systems, DC distribution systems, protection and control systems, and remedial action schemes. You will also be involved in designing or scoping substation equipment alarms and alarming systems.
