About the position

Join AZAD Technology Partners as an Electrical Engineer and leverage your high-level engineering expertise to collaborate with other scoping engineers, project managers, substation design engineers, and technicians. Your role will involve producing a complete substation project utilizing multiple methods and technologies. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for applying your knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and practices to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system. You will engage in electrical engineering design and standards, which includes the production of schematic, wiring, and rack layout drawings. Your proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, will be essential in documenting and presenting your work effectively. In addition to your technical skills, you will have the opportunity to design or scope SCADA RTUs, sequence of event recorders, digital fault recorders (DFRs), phase angle measure units (PMUs), revenue metering systems, DC distribution systems, protection and control systems, and remedial action schemes. You will also be involved in designing or scoping substation equipment alarms and alarming systems. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with scoping engineers, project managers, substation design engineers, and technicians to produce complete substation projects.
  • Apply engineering concepts, principles, and practices to components and facilities on a regional transmission system.
  • Produce schematic, wiring, and rack layout drawings as part of electrical engineering design and standards.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite products for documentation and presentations.
  • Design or scope SCADA RTUs, sequence of event recorders, digital fault recorders (DFRs), phase angle measure units (PMUs), revenue metering systems, DC distribution systems, protection and control systems, and remedial action schemes.
  • Design or scope substation equipment alarms and alarming systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited school.
  • 10 years of experience in electrical engineering with an applicable Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, and practices applicable to components and facilities on a regional transmission system.
  • Experience in electrical engineering design and standards, including production of schematic, wiring, and rack layout drawings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience designing or scoping SCADA RTUs and sequence of event recorders.
  • Experience with digital fault recorders (DFRs) and phase angle measure units (PMUs).
  • Experience with revenue metering systems and DC distribution systems.
  • Experience with protection and control systems and remedial action schemes.
