About the position

The Electrical Engineer position requires a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) with a strong background in designing various electrical systems for a range of clients including industrial, municipal, healthcare, commercial, retail, and educational sectors. The role emphasizes hands-on development of construction documents, supervising other engineers, and engaging in client interactions while ensuring adherence to industry standards and codes.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, security, access control, network, and instrumentation and control systems.
• Develop construction documents including calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Supervise other electrical engineers and designers.
• Conduct data gathering via field investigations.
• Engage in client interactions and provide construction administration services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE or equivalent).
• 10 years of experience in electrical system design.
• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) or working towards licensure.
• Knowledge of the Architectural/Engineering (A/E) consulting business.
• Experience designing electrical systems for water and wastewater facilities.
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code, International Building Codes, and Energy Codes.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Design Master Electrical, Microsoft Office products, Easy Power arc flash hazard analysis software, and lighting design software.
