About the position

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing industrial control panels and electrical systems, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. This role involves collaboration with various teams to understand client needs and implement effective solutions, while also overseeing prototype development and testing.

Responsibilities

• Designing electrical control panels and connected field equipment.
• Troubleshooting electrical problems with products or systems.
• Installing, servicing, calibrating, and updating electrical systems.
• Repairing or replacing faulty electrical parts of a product.
• Writing instructions for field users to install equipment.
• Specifying bills of materials for control panels and other electrical designs.
• Calculating and inspecting electrical loads for safe use.
• Using 2D CAD to design ladder logic, wiring diagrams, and component layouts.
• Writing programs for programmable logic controllers (PLCs).

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components.
• Proficiency in using 2D CAD software for design purposes.
• Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with sales staff and other engineers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with telecommunication devices and power generators.
• Familiarity with UL codes and safety standards.
• Knowledge of liquid or air handling equipment.
