Snap Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Snap Lab team in Palo Alto, California. This role is pivotal in the development of our hardware products, particularly in pushing the boundaries of what a camera can be by overlaying computing on the real world. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of electrical design, from schematic design and component selection to the final deliverable. This includes designing complex systems on chips (SOCs), power management integrated circuits (PMICs), wireless integrated circuits (ICs), and sensors used in low-power consumer electronics. The engineer will lead and contribute to technical design reviews, supervise PCB layout, and debug hardware issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Testing and validating all board-level and system-level aspects of electrical designs will also be a key responsibility. The role requires close collaboration with mechanical, software, RF, thermal, and industrial design teams, as well as authoring clear and comprehensive electrical test documentation. Additionally, the engineer will develop electronic prototypes for new product concepts and support development builds at external contract manufacturers. The position may require international travel up to 20%.
