About the position

The Electrical Engineering Co-Op position at NuVasive, Inc. is designed for students pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering. The role focuses on providing hands-on experience in electrical systems, including circuit design and signal processing, while contributing to innovations that enhance patient care in musculoskeletal disorders. The co-op will involve working closely with a team to develop and test electrical prototypes, ensuring that solutions meet the needs of healthcare providers and patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and prototyping of electrical systems.
• Conduct testing and troubleshooting of electrical components.
• Utilize electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Analyze information and report results effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to improve design processes.

Requirements

• Pursuing a BS or MS in electrical engineering.
• Basic knowledge of analog and digital circuit design including signal processing.
• Proficient with electrical test equipment; oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping electrical systems including circuit design, component selection, schematic capture, PCB design, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Motivated self-starter with good time management and organizational skills.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
