About the position

As an Electrical Engineering Graduate- Designer 1 at IMEG Corp., you will embark on an exciting career path within one of the largest design consulting firms in the U.S. This role is designed for recent graduates who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting. You will be responsible for electrical design on projects of varying sizes and complexities, ensuring that all designs meet IMEG's high standards for quality and accuracy. Your work will involve performing calculations, system design, equipment selections, and preparing reports and progress submittals. You will also be tasked with providing BIM instructions to ensure project completeness and adherence to timelines and budgets. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work independently on certain aspects of electrical systems for commercial buildings. You will coordinate, document, and schedule design projects, assisting Senior Electrical Engineers as needed. Building and maintaining client relationships will also be a key part of your role, allowing you to develop your professional network and enhance your communication skills. Responsibilities

  • Independent design for some aspects of electrical systems for commercial buildings
  • Coordinate, document, and schedule design projects
  • Assist Senior Electrical Engineer with design projects
  • Perform services required by the contract services agreement
  • Build, maintain, and develop client relationships

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • No prior experience required
  • Knowledge of electrical building systems design and/or construction techniques is a plus
  • Precision in production of technical plans and drawings
  • Understanding of fluid, material, and atmospheric dynamics
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, CAD, and BIM programs
  • Ability to perform quality control checks for electrical systems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
