About the position
The Electrical Engineering Intern position at Westinghouse offers an opportunity for students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering to gain practical experience in the nuclear energy industry. Interns will support engineering design and analysis for nuclear products and projects, working within a collaborative team environment that values safety, quality, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Work independently using knowledge obtained from core college courses.
- Utilize software packages such as Mathcad, Matlab, PSPice, and learn new packages quickly.
- Use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Access.
- Provide engineering design and analysis for nuclear products/projects, including electrical system design and instrumentation controls.
- Interface with internal functional groups to obtain necessary information for work assignments.
- Plan and schedule work to meet assignment requirements.
- Evaluate, select, and utilize standards, techniques, procedures, and criteria for developing engineering design documents.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 strongly preferred.
- Completion of Sophomore year college by May 2025.
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
