About the position

Ausenco is seeking Electrical Engineers at various levels (Junior, Intermediate, Senior) to join our Tucson team, which is gearing up for a detailed engineering design project for a gold processing plant. This facility will produce gold dore and antimony concentrate through a series of processes including crushing, grinding, flotation, concentrate handling, filtration, pressure oxidation, and CIP. As part of our Minerals and Metals Business line, you will play a crucial role in delivering innovative engineering solutions in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and checking studies and calculations related to electrical distribution systems, including arc-flash and coordination studies, power flow, short-circuit studies, and voltage drop assessments. You will prepare comprehensive electrical engineering designs for industrial plants, covering high, medium, and low voltage power distribution, motor control centers, power and control schemes, single line diagrams, equipment layouts, cable schedules, and grounding and lighting layouts. Additionally, you will prepare specifications for electrical equipment and conduct technical bid evaluations for various components such as power transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, and variable frequency drives. Your responsibilities will also include reviewing vendor drawings, resolving related issues, and providing engineering assistance during construction. You will work closely with other engineers and designers, ensuring a thorough understanding of electrical design considerations and interdisciplinary interfaces necessary for the successful design of complex mineral processing facilities. A strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, as well as technical assurance, is essential in this role.
