About the position

The Junior Electrical Estimator will support an electrical company in Tarpon Springs, FL, by assisting in the preparation of cost estimates for various small projects. This role requires a basic understanding of electrical work and the ability to interpret design documents and specifications. The position is a full-time contract role with the potential for permanent employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coordinate the preparation of full cost estimates based on plans for small projects.
• Interpret documentation, specifications, and design drawings to define the scope of estimates.
• Review and analyze bid packages from General Contractors.
• Maintain working files and supporting documentation for estimating figures.
• Assist the senior estimator in the final bid process.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the electrical field.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Familiarity with Accubid estimating software is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with estimating software is a plus but not required.
• Service-oriented with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with clients.
